NOVOTEL BANGKOK ON SIAM SQUARE, Bangkok – Your ideal downtown stay

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were not as expected, but the staff was welcoming and helpful. The location was convenient for shopping, but there were some cleanliness issues in the rooms and common areas. The dining options were limited, and the hotel facilities were satisfactory.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was phenomenal, right in the heart of Bangkok surrounded by shopping centers, cafes, and restaurants. However, the rooms needed some serious upgrades, and the presence of cockroaches and mosquitoes was off-putting. While the service was excellent overall, I was disappointed by the lack of a welcome drink upon arrival. The dining experience was satisfactory but could use more variety. Despite these aspects, the convenient location made up for some of the hotel's shortcomings.

The hotel is conveniently situated under Siam station, across from major shopping centers, restaurants, and food courts, offering a modern feel and easy access to the city link train line. While the wooden floor rooms are a preferred choice over carpeted ones due to smell issues, the availability of rooms even during peak times is a definite plus.

The hotel has some positives like the friendly and helpful service, but the rooms are not up to par and not worth the prices paid. The location is great but has a faint sewerage smell lingering around. The dining options are nice but might come with long queues.

The hotel is centrally located, just opposite Siam Square, making it convenient to reach popular shopping spots like Siam Paragon and Central World. The rooms were comfortable and tidy, offering a nice TV and shower. However, there was a lingering cigarette smell in our non-smoking room, despite our request for one.

My four-night stay at Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square was wonderful. The hotel is right in the heart of Siam, making it super convenient to get around with easy access to public transport. The room was clean, spacious, and well laid out, providing ample comfort. The dining experience was amazing, offering a variety of dishes from different cuisines, though some areas needed more light. The service was top-notch, with the staff going out of their way to ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process. However, there were some minor issues like cockroaches roaming around and the need for more lighting in certain areas.

The hotel rooms are comfortable and pretty spacious, available daily, and well-decorated with welcoming kits and loyalty messages. Despite being a bit old, the price is reasonable. The service is mixed, with pleasant staff and ready cocktails, but some issues with queue management and professionalism. The location is fantastic, near cafes, shopping malls, and the BTS station, with plenty of dining options around. The dining experience offers a variety of food choices, especially the bacon and sausage, and the facilities are good quality for the hotel's standard.

The Novotel Hotel in downtown Bangkok offers a convenient location near shopping centers but lacks the authentic Thai feel. The rooms were somewhat tired compared to their sister hotel at Platinum, albeit I chose it for its previous excellent service. The waiters were helpful, especially Khun Poh at the omelette station, but the constant trips to reception for key cards detracted from the experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms could use some renovations as they were a bit musky and had roaches, but to my very pleasant surprise, the staff were willing to fulfill our requests like connecting rooms. The location was perfect, close to Siam BTS station and major shopping malls, and the friendly and attentive staff made the stay enjoyable. The dining options had a good selection although the local fruits were missing. The facilities were well-maintained and offered everything needed for a comfortable stay.
